Which subjects and school levels do you tutor?
I tutor elementary and middle school math, science, and chess; high school math, chemistry, physics, psychology, and chess; and selected college math, chemistry, physics, and psychology courses. See the course lists for specific topics.
Are tutoring sessions in person or online?
Sessions are in person only. We can meet at your home, a local coffee shop, or a local library. Other locations are considered upon request.
What ages do you teach chess?
Chess tutoring is available for elementary, middle, and high school students. Tell me the learner’s age and experience so we can discuss a suitable starting point.
What happens in the first session?
We work through current material while establishing a baseline, exploring your learning style, and setting a framework for working together. Bring the questions or coursework you would like help with.
Where in Marin County do you offer tutoring?
I serve San Rafael, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Ross, Kentfield. I also serve Fairfax, San Anselmo, Novato, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Sausalito with an additional travel fee quoted before booking.
How much does tutoring cost?
$60.00 per hour. Your first session is 50% off the tutoring rate ($30.00 per hour). Travel fees, where applicable, are quoted before booking and are not discounted.
